TDI to Hold Public Hearing on Agent, Adjuster Testing Service

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) will hold a public hearing to consider the selection of a licensing examination testing service for agent and adjuster licensing tests.

The hearing will be held Monday, May 20, 2019, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the William P. Hobby, Jr., State Office Building, 333 Guadalupe, Room 100, Austin, Texas. Members of the public and the insurance industry will have the opportunity to make public comment at that time.

Under the Texas Insurance Code, Section 4002.053, TDI must hold a hearing prior to negotiating and entering into an agreement with a testing service. The purpose of the hearing is to permit public input before the agency negotiates or enters into an agreement with a testing service vendor.
