TDI Postpones Events, Meetings Go Virtual
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) announced that it has changed plans for upcoming meetings and events in response to the potential spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
A stakeholder meeting on SB 1264 data reporting, which relates to consumer protections against certain medical and health care billing by certain providers, was originally scheduled for 1:00 pm on March 26, 2020. The meeting will now be held as a webinar instead of an in-person meeting. Registration for the webinar is available online.
A March 30, 2020, stakeholder meeting on potential 1332 State Innovation Waivers has been postponed. TDI will provide information on a new date and format at a later time.
The TDI Compliance Conference scheduled for April 9, 2020, has been canceled. TDI will issue refunds to all who had previously registered. Instead, the agency will host a series of webinars for continuing education credits on future dates.
TDI has also created a Coronavirus updates page where resources and information provided by the state can be found.
