Mitchell Joins SLSOT as Director of Information & Technology Services
The Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLSOT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tara N. Mitchell as Director of Information & Technology Services effective September 21, 2015.
For the past seven years, Tara has worked in financial regulation at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), recently serving as the Registrations Officer for Company Licensing & Registration where she was responsible for the non-admitted market unit, including surplus lines, accredited/trusteed reinsurers, risk retention groups, purchasing groups, and life settlement providers and brokers. Tara has also served as subject matter expert for the information technology enhancements groups with goals of automation and streamlining efficient practices. Prior to joining TDI, Tara was a Personal Banker with JPMorgan Chase.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin. Additional accredited designations include an Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
