Industry Organizations Launch Coronavirus Resources

Several insurance agencies and organizations have published information related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) to support consumers, businesses, and insurance professionals. These resources include proclamations made by state and federal agencies, frequently asked questions, and news, among others.

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has shared guidance with the industry, along with information for consumers and businesses who have questions regarding the coronavirus. Governor Greg Abbott’s website also includes waivers and proclamations issued for the state and resources for small businesses, employers, job seekers, and students.

On a larger scale, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is providing updates on the spread of the virus, resources for each state, and recordings of the recent COVID-19 special session held by the NAIC. Additionally, the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) has listed its previous statements on COVID-19 and communications released by federal and state agencies.
