Higginbotham Named Best Independent Agency to Work For

Employees have chosen Higginbotham in Fort Worth, Texas, as the overall 2019 Best Independent Insurance Agency to Work For in a survey by Insurance Journal. More than 2,000 agency staff members participated in the survey and nominated their independent agencies for the award.

The top three agencies in each region were also recognized, and all three winners in the South Central region are located in Texas. Hotchkiss Insurance in Houston earned Gold, followed by BKCW in Austin with Silver and The Nitsche Group in Giddings with Bronze.

The employees surveyed noted the importance of competitive salaries, employee benefits, training and education, resources, and other employee perks as drivers of workplace satisfaction. They also mentioned positive relationships with their supervisors and a high opinion of their agency’s owner and the agency’s reputation in the community as contributors to their happiness and fulfillment.
